Lukavac Cement reports 11% net profit decrease in 1H18

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Lukavac Cement has reported a 11.1 per cent YoY fall in its 1H18 net profit, decreasing to BAM3.2m (US$1.9m) from BAM3.6m. Operating income dropped 2.7 per cent to BAM27.9m in the first half of the year, while operating costs decreased 3.4 per cent to BAM24.2m.

Austria's Asamer Baustoffe is launching a buyout bid for Bosnia-Herzegovina-based Fabrika Cementa Lukavac, following a notice posted with the Sarajevo bourse on Tuesday, reports SeeNews. Asamer Baustoffe AG currently holds a 99.3 per cent in Fabrika Cementa Lukavac, while the remainder is in the hands of physical entities.

The net profit of Bosnian cement maker Fabrika Cementa Lukavac (FCL) dropped 45 per cent to BAM4.2m (EUR2.1m) in the first half of 2015, according to company data released Tuesday. Operating income dropped 17.3 per cent to BAM23m through June, hile operating costs fell 12.4 per cent to BAM19.2ma, the company said in filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange. Fabrika Cementa Lukavac to export to Libya

Bosnia-based cement producer Fabrika Cementa Lukavac is set to export 30,000t of cement to Libya by the end of the year, local media said on Wednesday. The first two trains with 1258t of cement are on the way to the final destination, with 4500-5000t in total to be sent this week, news portal eKapija.ba said.
